Baby wrap - which one?

Looking for advice from baby wearing parents. I know a stretchy wrap is likely best for the newborn days - are they all the same or do people have preferences like with carriers? I’m looking at: freerider, solly, izmi

Hey, I think they’re all the same. I’ve the boba wrap sling and it’s done me well for 2 kids! Once you get used to putting them on they’re very easy. Do make sure you know how to put them on safely, baby must always be close enough to your mouth to kiss.

Some places have a sling library where you can borrow different wraps and carriers, or go try them out to see if you’ve a preference. Maybe worth looking into!

Good luck with your baby, I love the newborn stage!

Ergobaby embrace! I found the fabric stretchy wraps a pain and always had to retie.

I loved my free rider and have got another for this time round!

Huge +1 for the boba bliss. My baby was tiny and it was the only appropriate wrap. We loved it

I had a close caboo lite which was great for the first 6 months or so

For DD1, I bought an ergobaby aura online and I could never get on with it. For DD2, I went to sling library and liked the boba wrap the best. It felt much more secure. In general though, I found i didn't really get on with wraps that much.

I’m planning to get a wildbird ariel carrier so only need a sling for the newborn stage when they might be too small for the structured carrier. Definitely want something which feels secure. Annoyingly I can’t find a sling library anywhere around here!

Koala care (40 quid from amazon). Stretchy and suitable for a newborn but so easy to put on compared to the proper wrap ones. My daughter basically lived in it until we swapped for an ergobaby one with better back support when she was about 6 months x

I used a woven wrap from age 0 onwards. And it worked brilliant. Secure and safe. After 6mobths transfered to a back carrier and has been amazing with the 2 DC. Used up until DS1 was 2years old - back wearing at home to get on with chores.

We had a Close Caboo, which was great.
