Moving house

Hi,
wondering if anyone has some advice. I am soon to be mother living on my own. I currently live in a one bed flat I would say it is on the smaller side with no hallway.

I will be 7 months when the lease ends which is very soon.

I cannot get out of the lease before this, so I have the opportunity to renew the lease now or move at 7 months pregnant.

I want to move to a two bed. Just not sure if it makes a lot of sense if I am going to be sharing same room with baby for atleast the first year. Aswell as the hassle of moving. Any thoughts?

I moved at nearly 8 months. I think with all the baby paraphernalia you’d appreciate that second room

ETA, I would choose moving whilst pregnant vs moving with a 4 month or 10 month old child

I'm hopefully completing over the next fortnight and will be moving into our new house when I'm 8 months or over!

I really want to get as settled in as possible before baby is here but not going to rush to do nursery until I have to. I just need it clean and liveable.

It's going to be stressful of course but I've got a great support network to help with the move and it certainly wouldn't be any less stressful moving with a small baby in 6 or 12 months time. I'd much rather have the upheaval now.

I'd move. You'll appreciate the space. Even if baby is in your room, you'll have somewhere to set up all their stuff, change them etc.

If you can afford to move and rent somewhere bigger then do it now

Personally I’d stay put, save the hassle, save money etc

Im currently pregnant & moved to a two bed at 4 months pregnant, only because I am having twins! If it was 1 baby I would of deffo stayed put in my one bed to save money for a while
Babies are due next week and in their small room I have stored their cots and clothes/ pram etc but could have easily done this in my room if I was only having 1 baby. I dont ever go into their room, it’s just for storage really, I can’t imagine using their room until they are okay to sleep in there I suppose. I’ve set up changing area in front room & have enough space in my room for a cot next to my bed x
