2-3 on Clearblue

Hey!

I finally got the 2-3 on digital🥹. How many weeks would this actually make me?
I want to book an early reassurance scan for when I’m 6-7 weeks but I’m absolutely terrified after miscarrying and experiencing it all again at the scan (not finding a heartbeat)🥲.

These tests go from conception so you need to add 2 weeks on to get the full gestation.

They're not always exact but 2-3 weeks on a clear blue would make you approx 4-6 weeks pregnant.

Unless you have particularly long/irregular cycles or know for a fact you ovulated late, you should use the first day of your LMP and count from there. That's what the midwife will use until you get your dating scan at 12 weeks.

Just to add as well - my advice is to try and wait till after 8 weeks for a scan if you can.

Weeks 6-8 are very high risk for MC so even if you see a heartbeat during that time, it can only provide a tiny snapshot of that particular moment in time and doesn't give that much reassurance.

On the contrary, if you see a healthy heartbeat over 8 weeks then your odds of MC drop significantly.

Just something to bear in mind.

I would wait until 8 weeks too. At 6-7 weeks it might be too early to detect a heartbeat and you’ll be full of anxiety if that’s the case when quite simply, it might just have been too early for a scan. If all is well, than by 8 weeks there should be a health heartbeat.
