Has anyone had this? I’ve started a get bit itchy. Not severe or anything. I do get itchy at night in general anyway. Not sure if I’m just over thinking it but what symptoms would you generally have? I’m 27 weeks

Speak to your midwife and ask for a blood test. Don't be fobbed off if they say the itching has to be palms and soles of feet, as mine wasn't. That said, a bit of itching is probably nothing to worry about. A lot of itching would be more likely.

You will know about if it is cholestasis.. constant obsessive itching on mostly hands and feet. I had it on my second pregnancy. Get a blood test to confirm and don’t worry if its confirmed - it’s well managed by meds and baby will be fine.. my little boy currently bouncing around the kitchen. Good luck!

Itching isn’t severe or obsessive. I generally do get itchy skin anyway. I’m due to see midwife in 2 weeks and I’m getting blood tests done then. Would that be too long to leave it?

Give your midwife a call and she will advise. Best to err on the side of caution, they can do blood test out of hours if required.

I will do. Did you have any other symptoms other than the itching?

I had severe itching in my first pregnancy which they were concerned was OC but it wasnt. It was really bad though and I tore my legs to shreds scratching.
Piriton helped. It's the only antihistamine you can have in pregnancy

I had similar in my last pregnancy, rang the midwife and she sent me straight up to the hospital for a quick test. Everything was fine but they do like to check so I’d call sooner than waiting for your next appointment so they can advise you
