Heavy bleeding 6 weeks - pic attached

I am 6+4 and have had on and off spotting all week. Mostly when I wiped and a mixture of pink and brown. Had an internal at 6+2 and we saw a tiny baby and tiny heartbeat ❤️. I have now started bleeding very very heavily. I do have some light cramps but I also have an upset stomach after a big meal last night so I don’t know if that’s a coincidence. I’m obviously thinking miscarriage - would you all agree? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Waiting for EMU to open. Thank you x

Sorry you're going through this, hopefully you can get seen by EPU ASAP.
Good luck.

Lulu89x · 25/01/2025 15:41

that looks like alot of blood and clots.. paired with cramping. The signs are not looking good. I hope you made it to your EPU.. X

FMc208 · 25/01/2025 18:38

Sorry OP it doesn’t look good.. did you manage to get to EPU? @DenimZebra

Having to wait until Thursday to be rescanned as they need a week between appointments. Midwife has said it sounds like a miscarriage and I think the same x

I have 3 DCs. I had bleeding with my oldest son, whose now 19.
It was at times red and heavy.
It was chalked up to one of those things.

Greenbottle123 · 25/01/2025 20:49

I’m sorry OP, do you have someone with you?

DenimZebra · 25/01/2025 20:57

I do thank you. I have a wonderful supportive partner so we are in this together. It’s the waiting until Thursday and having to carry on like normal which is hard. Not sure I can face work.

Think that’s a very early miscarriage, sorry.

Take all the time you need off work, love. I found out I had an MMC on Tuesday and I'm getting scanned again on Wednesday to confirm no further growth or development. The wait is a killer and there's no way I'm going back to work any time soon. Sorry you're going through this x

I've bled like this and heavier with my almost 6 year old. But I've also bled like this with the start of 2 of my mc, and bled less initially for my 3rd mmc.
It could go either way op. Glad you have support with you x

Sorry you’re going through this OP, it’s a horrible waiting game until Thursday unfortunately. I hope everything is ok, look after yourself.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t know where you are but can you check if your local hospital has a EPU or a women’s ambulatory day unit? When I had bleeding in December, they advised me to go to A&E to get referred to their day unit and I had a scan within two hours. This was on a Sunday just before New Year’s Eve. Sending you lots of love x

It was the EPU that said I need to wait until Thursday? I was in last Thursday for a scan as had been spotting so she said it needs to be a week between scans? I wish I could go sooner x

From the research I've done, waiting a week seems to be the norm. It's to see if there's any growth or development in that space of time. I think it's also to avoid any misdiagnosis, althought that's rare. It's absolutely horrible x

It's possible that you have a subchorionic haematoma, and that all will be well.
It's going to be a long wait till Thursday. I'll keep everything crossed for you.

NameChange101xox · 26/01/2025 13:57

Fx for you x

DenimZebra · 28/01/2025 19:50

Waiting to be seen still on Thursday but have passed this clot tonight. Have been trying to hold onto some hope but I think this has confirmed it for me. Thanks for everyone’s help and advice x ^^

DenimZebra · 30/01/2025 23:24

Thanks everyone. Confirmed today that I am miscarrying. Scan showed a lot of bleeding inside still and still to pass the sac. Been given two weeks to pass it naturally then will take it from there x
