35 weeks on Sunday getting quite breathless doing activities and just breathing heavier in general! Anyone else had this?

Baby is measuring a whopping 6lb7 at my growth scan so I'm very big, tired and exhausted!!

Only 31 weeks here and I have the lung capacity of a 90 year old smoker so you have my full sympathies. It's horrendous.

Can also be anemia so worth speaking to your midwife.

If you’re struggling to talk or can’t get upstairs you need your iron checked. Mine got missed until I couldn’t even get through a bedtime story without gasping and I needed 2 infusions before I gave birth as it was so low!

@MysteriousFalafel talking fine, I notice it a lot when I'm eating like I need to eat very slow and have deep breaths or I start breathing so heavy

Also fine getting up the stairs but then need to sit down for 5 mins to get my breath back to a slow pace..

Is this a matter of urgency or can I just mention it to consultant on Tuesday when I see him? Last had my bloods done 7 weeks ago which was fine but obviously can change with nearly 2 months of time😅

I would personally mention it on Tuesday but everybody is different and if you’re concerned you should go to triage

I'm 12 weeks and I got breathless walking from my office to the car the other day! 😫Dreading the third trimester!

I think it is normal to get breathless, especially in the later stages. Worth a mention if you are seeing your consultant, though.

I have the same, was told it is pretty normal at this point as baby is bigger, but it can be exacerbated by anaemia. I would say mention it at your appointment anyway so they can redo your bloods just to double check! if you start getting heart palpitations or pains along with it please do call triage though
