I lost mine at 10:30 at night, with period pain-like cramps. Went to sleep until about 5am when I couldn’t sleep due to contractions. Birthed at 9am.

About a day and a half every time

On my first I lost the plug at 3pm. I was in active labour 12 hours later but baby wasn't born for another 12 hours.

I don't remember losing the plug on my 2nd although that was a very quick labour. I had my waters broken at 1am and baby was born at 3.40am

Both times I lost mine in middle of the day. 1st one had early contractions from 1am that night and had baby before 8pm the next day. 2nd one had early contractions from 10pm the next day and had baby before noon. (So both times within a couple of days.)

I lost my plug in two goes after two sweeps, but a week later I still hadn't gone into labour! Ended up being induced and was 4cm by then, but no pain or labour etc.

I lost mine after I'd been having mild but regular contractions for about 24 hours. Baby was born about 12 hours later. I don't know when I went into "active labour" because I went from 1-2cm to 10cm and pushing within 2 hours.

Days before labour started - maybe a week?

With my eldest my waters broke in a massive gush so I assume my mucus plug went the same time because I never noticed losing it.
With my youngest I went to the bathroom, saw I'd lost it, had a shower and went to bed and instantly had strong contractions and left for hospital about an hour later, she was born a couple of hours after that.

Instantly, both times

Unrelated38 · 24/01/2025 18:36

About a week. First was induced 41+3, c section due to slow progress. Second spontaneous at 42, but I'd been in slow labour for 2 days then established labour for 2 days, almost c section due to slow progress but DP and I got him out as they prepped the operating room, literally.

I guess it just takes me a long time 🤷‍♀️

Second baby only lost it at 7cm

blw95 · 24/01/2025 19:17

Lost mine mid-day from memory and gave birth later that same evening x

SpaceChocolatel · 24/01/2025 19:20

First 1 week.
Second - during labour I think.

Burpcloth · 24/01/2025 19:25

Just shy of a day and a half

LemonBitter · 24/01/2025 19:43

About 24 hours

LesleyConroy · 25/01/2025 06:55

I lost mine on Friday night and baby was born Sunday morning. Took until the Saturday night to go into proper labour but had pains all day Saturday.
