Hey there!
I found out I was pregnant on the 17th, I'm now 5 weeks and 3 days with a potential due date of the 24th Sept!
I wanted to start this thread to see if there was anyone like me out there... it's a very exciting, daunting, and anxious time... I am super happy but it's hard not to worry, especially as I'm 40 and also have adenomiosis.
I've stopped trying to Google too many things and have actually found forums and chat threads seem to give the most positive and real life accounts which is why I thought I'd start my own. Would love to hear from anyone! 💗💗

Congratulations 😀

I was 43 when our DC was born. I was so happy to finally become a parents that I had more energy than most parents do. He was prem, it wasn't down to my age. A tiny 3lb baby is now a 6ft teen.

Congratulations!
Im 39 on Wednesday and had my LB 24th September last year. I went through all the feelings and out the other side. Odd to think I didn’t even know I was pregnant this time last year!

Thank you so much! I definitely will.
I might sound really silly but how do I join? Is it just by watching the conversation?

I honestly feel so so so lucky, we were obky trying for a short 3/4 months. I couldn't believe it when I saw the pregnant line on the test! Beyond excited, have my mum traveling here this weekend so I can tell her she is finally going to be a nana 😂 I just hope all goes well, I guess it's normal to worry

Congratulations! I'm not pregnant but have had babies in my 40s (I also have a chronic health condition, so was naturally concerned) and not only was it all fine, I found that there were loads of us "geriatric mothers" in clinics to keep each other company. (Funnily enough the majority of people seemed to be teenage mothers or women in their 40s with very few in between!)
You'll possibly be under consultant led care due to age, and you may have additional scans; but otherwise you should be left to get on with it! Wishing you all best wishes for a breezy pregnancy and birth. Flowers

Or when you post you’ll then get notifications of the conversation.

we were quick conceiving too, so very lucky, now just the anxious wait for scans!

Re grand parents - I was very much the younger child in my family with a big age gap to my sibling. My parents were over 30 when I was born. DS was their only biological grandchild, they were thrilled and he was so lucky to have them in his life for most of his school years.
