Hi, I am 12 weeks today and had a private scan at 11 weeks not a dating scan that’s on Tuesday next week. Everything was fine in the scan listened to heartbeat and reassured all fine but now I’m starting to nit look forward to my 12 week scan cause I’m worried something will be wrong , any tips on how to get past this. I had a D@C in October so that’s adding to my worry also.
how did people get through the worry?

I’ve just gone through this! I had a D&C in August last year and fell pregnant again in November. I’ve just had my 12 week scan at 13 weeks on Monday there, and everything was fine but I was really anxious.

The support on this group was so helpful, and I also reminding myself that today I am pregnant. Trying to enjoy each day that I am pregnant, and keeping busy has helped keep my mind occupied too!

Keep us posted on how your scan goes! X

I think we just have to push through. I am in touch with a whole bunch of other ladies who are due in August and we are all anxious and panicking for our 12 week scans. Im 13+ weeks and everything is okay but I lost an entire nights sleep just stressing about it! If it helps, the changes of MC after 11 weeks is extremely low. 11 weeks = 2% chance of miscarriage. 11 weeks + 4 days = 1.8% of miscarriage. 12 weeks = 1.7% and so on.

It's commonly referred to as 'scanxiety'.

No matter how many scans and check ups you have, the relief is short lived and you quickly start panicking again about the next one.
