Small amount of blood 24 weeks

Hello! I had some small specks of blood when I wiped. I noticed it at 2pm when I went to the toilet but haven't had anything since. I called in and the midwife seemed to think it was ok because I don't have any abdominal cramping. I'm 24 weeks +3 days so wouldn't have thought this normal.. anyone else had this though and was ok?

I'm thinking to just go in even though she doesn't think I need to

I'd go in. With something as important as your baby I think it's worth a second opinion.

It's probably totally fine. Your cervix will have much greater blood flow, greater pressure on it and be more friable due to pregnancy. I have had bleeding/blood in every successful pregnancy I have had, and the tiny amount you describe wouldn't massively worry me (and I've had 6 miscarriages!). HOWEVER, absolutely do get checked out on the very small off chance there is an issue, there is no reason not to, and if you don't you'll just worry.

I had the exact same thing. Had it checked out. All good. Doctor told me it’s very common. But get it checked out for peace of mind.
