7 week empty sac

So I had a follow up scan from last weeks empty sac and it’s still empty today !! Measuring 18mm which is usual for almost 7 weeks she said . I’m worried as I’ve had two miscarriages before and one was a blighted ovum found at 13 weeks ( I went home to wait for miscarriage and ended up hemmoraging bad where I had an emergency D&C awake and hospitalised for two days . Basically any hope this will end up with a baby ? I really can’t see it happening as had early scans with my girls and both were fine at 6 weeks . Also can I opt for a D&C as I’m terrified of this happening again , I live 50 mins from hospital and look after my children including toddler full time while partner works away .

Hi OP, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't have much advice but didn't want to not reply. I imagine you can definitely request a D&C given your history, I would certainly encourage you to advocate for yourself and ask for one if it comes to that. Hopefully that would be their plan anyway. Thinking of you💐

Hi OP, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Did they say what the next steps are?

Overthebow · 21/01/2025 16:48

Sorry OP. What is the plan they have given you?

BlondeMamaToBe · 21/01/2025 16:55

It doesn’t sound like the pregnancy is progressing if there has been no change 🥺

What plan have they given you?

Eighteight · 21/01/2025 17:23

I’ve had no plan yet other than to re scan on Tuesday next week ! They can’t diagnose a blighted ovum until it measures 25mm ! I’m hoping by then it will . I really can’t deal with the wait . If it is that then I will accept it but I’m really worried about being left alone to bleed again 😭 I have so much going on at home being a mum to 3 girls … school runs etc , football , dance , swimming ever single week , my mum died and was my main support so I don’t really have anyone to fully rely on apart from partner ( he’s the youngests dad but he does work away and doesn’t live with me ) plus juggling work . I literally have zero time to sit around for days waiting to bleed and even then it’s really stressful which way it can go !
