What to eat before C-section?

I know we're meant to fast beforehand. Before that what would be the best things to eat?

I'm a bit anxious about going to the loo afterwards, constipation and putting pressure on stitches and all that. Does it make sense to just have nutritious soups in the day or two before the C-section? Or should I stick to high fibre and lots of water? Anything to avoid like a last Indian takeaway? 😅

I never gave it a second thought to be honest so interested to see what others say.
I was in hospital the week running up to it so i was just eating hospital food and random snacks.

I overthought this a lot but was glad I did. The days before I made sure I had high fibre, non spicey meals. Then the morning of I had weetabix and banana.

This was for my second section.. the first section, first poop was enough to scar me for life!

(both sections were fine, but the poop after can be like an out of body experience 😂)

Keep it light and nourishing. Plenty of fibre and vitamins.

I had an emergency section after a last meal of chip shop chips. Ended up really constipated and with a long term anal fissure. Made sure I was much more careful with my planned section!
