Hi guys,

I’m losing hope. My period is due in about 5 days time. Friday just gone, I took a supermarket brand pregnancy test and I got the attached picture result. I thought a positive. It came up straight away.

Today I took a clearblue digital early pregnancy test and it’s negative. I’m heartbroken. Any similar experiences?

It could be that you're just testing very early and the digital tests are less sensitive.
I'd wait 48 hours to allow the hcg to increase them test again

Good luck

Thank you! I’ve read online that Morrisons tests give false positives so I’m panicking at the moment.

I agree digital tests are less sensitive and it's still quite early to test. Try again in 48 hours or best the day your period is due. Good luck OP.

Thank you. It’s really not long to wait but it feels like an eternity x

In my experience, I had a cheap test that way very very faint positive so I took a clear blue digital and was positive, this was about 4 days before my period

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. My last two pregnancies were strong positives, even before my period was due. I just think 4 days after getting a faint positive, it would be detected on a digital. I’m trying to make peace with it now 😔

@WorryMumma just because it was the case for me doesn't necessarily mean it will be for you, I have heard people getting positives on a normal one and it's taking a week before the digital turns positive 🤞

If you are 5 days out. Its probably too early.

BGxxx · 21/01/2025 12:37

I think it could be a faulty test, the line doesn’t look quite right to me. If you’re still 5 days away for your period there is still time for a positive though xx

I think you’re right, sadly 😔. As soon as it began developing, the line came up straight away, even before the control line. Reading online though, this seems to be common with the Morrisons tests. So gutted x

Thank you hun. Although I’m feeling quite doubtful atm. I won’t take anymore tests unless I’m late. I’ll update you all when I know either way x
