Achievement unlocked at our house!

24 weeks yesterday (yippee!), which was met with a visit to L&D over lower belly tightenings, which petrified the midwife.. and us!

We took a preterm labour test (negative!), UTI eliminated.. Cervix is 3.8.. And got told to bedrest.. obviously, call back to L&D if they get worse..

I am relieved that Baby is okay, but I am so over the tightenings and swelling sensations down below! (The swelling sensations were there before the cervical!)

Has anyone else experienced anything like this and been okay?

Much love Mamas!

I’m not sure if this is the same but I get awful pain in my muscles lower down my belly. This happens if I walk too fast, get up too fast or am at an awkward angle. It feels like a stitch sometimes and a few weeks ago I got such a bad stitch I couldn’t even breathe!

Could your lower belly tightening be round ligament pains? (That’s what I think I have!)

I had it checked out at hospital and they said it could be anything because my cervix is still closed at 3.8 - they decided to go with all 3! - Rounded Ligament, Pelvic Gridle and Braxton Hicks ♥️
