20 week scan, midwife meeting AND hospital tour - what should I ask?

hello ladies. I have my 20 week scan tomorrow followed by my midwife vist and hospital tour. Any ideas on what I should ask and query them on? I thought it would come naturally but thinking I should be better prepared.

Firstly lucky you on getting a tour! So many hospitals now don't have them at all.

I'd perhaps ask if there's a nursery where you can take your baby to change them/bath them etc, rather than doing it on the bed.

Ask if they allow you to take your own electrical euqipment (if taking CD player for example) as they have rules about uncertified equipment being used.

Visiting hours for family and ask when your partner has to leave for the night (if you're in that long).

ah - hadn't thought of visiting hours. Thanks. Suprised about limited number of tours - surely it helps the mother to be feel more secure. Agh.

There's quite a good list on page 36 of that purple and green book you get from the GP / booking in appt - The Pregnancy Book. Sorry for laziness in not typing it out!

my hospital dont have tours either luckily i have had two children already so know what it looks like just not looking forward to going back again lol!

Ask about parking, when you should come in, who you should ring before coming in, are the doors locked if its 2:00am when you come in.

Can your partner stay the whole time if you're not immediately put onto the labour ward and it's night time. I had to go into a prelabour bed and because it was evening, they said he had to leave after 8pm! I was in labour but not dilating very quickly. Luckily, a nice night nurse said she wouln't say anything and he stayed until I was moved onto the labour ward.
I'm sure that is rare but we were extremely shocked so might be good to ask just in case.
