Hello,

So I'm.29 weeks pregnant and the nurse did a swab and said I have BV and thrush.

They have prescribed me Clindamycin cream and Clotrimazole.

However since using the applicators for Clindamycin I think I've developed thrush as was not having abnormal disharge before just itching.

Has anyone had this before ?

I had both recurringly in my second pregnancy, because I was constantly on antibiotics for UTIs. It was dreadful. Finally one doctor recommended the probiotic pessary (canesten brand, I got them on amazon) and it finally cleared up. I still have a stockpile just in case.

What it is, is your bacterial/yeast balance is off. Taking clotrimazole will just tip the balance too far the other way (well that's what happened with me). Whereas the probiotic basically fills you up with the right balance of bacteria
