Due date

It’s long so here goes.

I’m currently 26 weeks 1 day pregnant. My due date is 2/05/2025 with my baby girl.
However the midwife has gone of a 28 day menstrual cycle. My period tracker states I have a 33 day cycle. ( I’ve used this app for years) My ovulation dates was 9th - 15th August I had slept with my ex on 10/11th August was just after midnight.

I had a drunken mistake ONS on 3rd August. He says he didn’t injaculate inside of me but he’s not 100% sure. ( he had been up all day and night on drugs I obvs didn’t have a clue as I met him that night)

I’ve got to my scans and they’ve gone with my LMP of 26th July. Lasted around 6/7days.

what’s the possibility of my ex being the father and not the ONS?

What due date were you given at your 12 week dating scan?

LMP is used to calculate days in the very early stages but your official due date should come from the scan (for the exact reason that you said about LMP not being accurate for everyone).

The 12 week scan goes off actual measurements so is more accurate. Sometimes the date remains the same, sometimes it changes but this is the date everyone will work off from that point on.

Once you have your official due date, you can count back 38 weeks for approximate conception date (it's not 100% but it'll give you an idea).

Based on your due date, it's closer to the dates with your ex but it's very close - I think you'll need a DNA test to be sure

Are you in the uk? If so the due date is calculated from the 12 week scan measurement rather than the lmp from that point onwards.

Your due date indicates ovulation around 9th August (Is that the due date from the 12 week scan?), however this can be a handful of days out each time because the measurement can be off (mine put me ahead two days and I know when I ovulated). So both sex on the 3rd and 10/11th can be the potential dads. You likely won’t know without a dna test.

My 12 week scan she gave me estimate of 12+4 the baby was measuring 12+2 - 12+4 ( baby was laid in weird position and wouldn’t keep still so she went with the 12+4.

then my 20 weeks scan went off my 12 week scan.

both guys know and will be getting a dna but I’m really hoping it’s my ex’s. I’m so gutted if it’s not :(

Your dates definitely suggest it's your ex's but with something so important you all need to be 100% sure. Good luck

I can’t wait to do the dna we was going to get it done earlier but was too much so we going to wait til after baby is born.

if I was caught 3rd then I’ll be a over a week in front wouldn’t I? I came off my period on the 31st July.

I really think it’s my ex as it’s close to my ovulation period stage.

Yes I’m from the UK.

my ovulation peak was 9th- 15th and I’m sure I was 100% ovulating on the 13th I had the wet watery discharge. I also had sore boobs and backache around 18th.

Are you sure about your dates? 26+1 would be a due date of 26/4/25 .

I forgot to say I had an early scan on Sunday 22nd September and I was 8 weeks? What do you think?

The dating scan at 11-14 weeks is more accurate than any earlier scans which is why it's done then.
At 8 weeks babies are still very small so it can be the difference of millimetres.

I see there’s not much difference in the days but I thought if I conceived 3rd August I’d be a week Infront? I really wish my baby wasn’t in a awkward position ( laid on belly) and couldn’t keep still when I went for my 12 week scan so she couldn’t an accurate scan that’s why she’s gone two weeks from LMP.

I think that's the problem that it's only a week apart and even when baby is fully cooperating on the scan, there's still a margin of error.

A scan could easily be out a few days either way which would affect your due date and sperm can actually survive inside you for around 5 days prior to ovulation.

It's not going to be possible to say with absolute certainty without a dna test but your dates make it seem like the ex is the more likely of the two.
