It's going to be tough but it's do-able - organisation will be the key.

We had a period between houses where we were living in the tiniest flat for about a year (DD1 was 8-18 months). It was a challenge and I wouldn't have wanted to do it for any longer but we managed.

Baby should be sleeping in your room til 6 months anyway. We kept ours in our room til 12 months for other reasons.

do you have space for a sofa bed in your living room for you and your partner? That would be a longer term solution, if you’re going to be in your one bed flat for a while.

We had DS in our bedroom from 0-8months. A pp suggested a good idea that if you can’t move by spring 2026 then you could look into either making the livingroom your sleeping area, or if it’s a really large bedroom maybe a divider of some sort to partition the room? Some people keep their baby/toddler in their room a lot longer and get used to them sleeping in a cot in there. The only downside to that is eventually they will fight the transition to their own space more.
