5 days late for period negative test

Anyone had this before? I've got 2 kids but prior to pregnancy my period was like clockwork - every 28 days! Since having my kids my periods have been abit sporadic but has somewhat become regular so I was able to anticipate it more (23 days, 25 days, 28 days but no more than that). It has now been 33 days since my last period. I've taken 3 cheap Asda tests, 2 in the AM and all negative. Wondering if I should buy a more expensive test but don't want to waste the money...anyone else had this?

I once ovulated 6 days later than normal and never had that happen before while I had been tracking. Hasn’t happened since. We were trying to conceive at that point so tracked ovulation with tests and bbt. I would say if I wasn’t tracking I would have been adamant that my period was late because even the ovulation signs (cervical mucus) were the same as other cycles. However it was my ovulation that was delayed.

It can happen even if you have clockwork cycles.

I dont know why mine happened. At the time I thought it was due to raised lymph nodes in my neck for 2-3 days at the very start of the cycle however since then I have had that happen a few times and my cycles has been on track with timing during those months.

Yes I've had this happen before. I've attached a screenshot from my 2024 cycles so you can see. All my cycles were between 25 and 29 days overall, then there was one random 35 day cycle (AF eventually arrived a week later than expected). I was on the waiting list of IVF and TTC at the time (had been since 2021), so it was disappointing to feel a bit excited that our time had finally come, but when I took pregnancy tests they were all BFNs. Absolutely no idea why it happened (currently pregnant from IVF now).

Yes, I've had this happen several times. Once I hit mid 30's I've also completely missed a period with no explanation.
