Advice needed

I am 5 weeks pregnant and haven’t yet had a scan but I’ve had a blood test as well as pregnancy tests to confirm.
For the last week, I’ve had dark blood/ browny discharge and I visited the hospital and they said that there is no active bleeding from what they can see but they have no room to book me in for a scan.
Theres been no pain and no clots….
I wondered if anyone has any advice.

Generally brown blood is 'old' blood. The time for concern is when you have very heavy bleeding and bright red blood.

A scan this early wouldn't tell you much anyway except to rule out ectopic - it's normally 6-7 weeks before there's actually an embryo and heartbeat so very early scans tend to cause more anxiety than anything else

When is your next scan if they have no room for a scan? I would book and pay for a private one. Try not to worry and rest
