This is my first pregnancy so all new to me. My lower abdomen/just above my pubic bone is really sore to the point I'm hardly sleeping at night. I think the pain happens when baby moves down there. I get lower back pain too. I've been to the assessment unit already with worry and they checked baby's heartbeat and saw that my cervix was closed and said it's likely ligament pain. I'm 23 weeks + 5 so seems early for pgp. Anyone else experiencing this?

There's no reason why it wouldn't be. As someone 37 weeks pregnant who literally can't walk with pgp ask your midwife for a referral to physio NOW. Definitely youtube exercises to do (i mean they haven't helped me but they may if you get it earlier) and limit asymmetrical movements, for example don't do yoga and try any lunges. If you don't already have a c pillow get one.

To add as well. This is your first (mine too) but you know when something is wrong so trust yourself. I felt like i had pgp from about the same time as you when driving got painful and rolling over in bed hurt but just...trusted that other people would know better than me and believed the 'likely just ligament pain'. I'm honestly not sure anything can truly be done for it if i'm honest but take your time, take your maternity early, rest when you need to and get a maternity band.

Thank you for the advice @Ensconcedinvelvet I've asked to be referred for physio

Sorry if i came across a bit doomy!! I am in absolute agony at the moment so it's probably that. From what i can gather it goes pretty much as soon as baby is out. Have a look st the pelvic partnership website. I found it literally this morning and it has helped me feel better
