so i’m almost 8 weeks postpartum and i’m embarrassed to say me and my partner have been a little risky with intercourse, so i’ve been testing every couple of days to make sure everything is negative. every test has been negative except for the other day when i tested it was positive and i watched it turn positive, i tested again the next day and it was negative again. i’ve been having cramping and bright bleeding now ever since the positive test along with the now negative one and im thinking it was a chemical pregnancy, i called my OB and they said it probably wasn’t a miscarriage or chemical and was probably an evaporation line but i don’t think it was. i took some pictures of the test turning positive and then compared to the negative test the next day. does this sound like a chemical?

To be honest the test looks faulty to me as I can't see a control line. Sorry you're dealing with this at the minute, sounds v stressful.

there is a control line, it’s just in the other pictures. i added multiple pictures

Oh sorry missed those. Definitely positive then. I had positive tests like this for about a week at the start of my pregnancy, it took a while for the line to become more solid. Any way the GP could do a blood test?

Worth noting I've never had a chemical pregnancy so I really don't know what they're like, sorry op

yes me as well, with my now one month old daughter i tested positive super faintly at 3 weeks pregnant. i just looked back at my flo tracker app and i logged we had unprotected sex exactly 12 days from that positive test

I've had evaps that look like that, especially on cheap tests.

Could the blood not just be your period?

i watched the dye turn the test positive and the bleeding only happened right after i got the positive test. the test was also taken exactly 12 after unprotected sex. the test looks exactly like my daughters test when i tested positive with her. heres a picture of how my positive test looked like with my now one month old daughters.

The positive test looks 'flooded' as there's a lot of dye run so not sure I'd count it as positive. Especially as the control line is broken

Your one from your daughter and the negative are much clearer and have dried nicely.
