HCG rising but not doubling. Ectopic?

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. I’m approximately around 5 weeks pregnant (I think) I had cramping and brown discharge for a few days so I went for an early ultrasound scan, nothing was visible as probably too early. So I had my bloods checked and they came back at 510 HCG, 2nd bloods were 490 HCG which is when they said suspected ectopic, however my next set of bloods then shot up to 1,063 HCG so that has more than doubled. So again another ultra sound which also didn’t show a gestational sac so now maybe ectopic maybe a pregnancy of unknown location.. so another set of bloods done and they came back at 1,663 so they have gone up but haven’t doubled? Am I having an ectopic? Is there any chance my pregnancy will go on to be a viable pregnancy? I also had a blighted ovum in September 😞😞😞

With that information I feel like if they thought it was ectopic then by 5+ weeks I'm sure they would see it in the tube via scan. Sorry not much help but I was in hospital for suspected ectopic and they said they weren't worried unless i had pain in shoulder, one sided pain and bleeding. X

What made them think you was having an ectopic? Did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy?
