Terrified a violent cough will hurt baby 12 weeks pregnant

I have developed a cold with a violent barking cough. It’s at the point where I am coughing constantly and my stomach is sore from all the coughing. I have had 4 miscarriages in the past and this is as far as I’ve made it, so I am anxious about everything, including whether this cough can hurt the baby or cause issues.
I have my dating scan next week.
Just looking for some reassurance here 😩

It won't OP don't worry. A cough is sore and uncomfortable for you but it can't hurt your uterus. Hope you feel better soon.

It's awful but it won't harm your baby.

Neither will a violent sneeze or getting a shock etc

I had a cough like that in my first pregnancy and was concerned. During an obstetrician appointment (for something else) I mentioned my concerns and he was not worried at all. As others said, baby is very well cushioned.

It's horrible being poorly when you are pregnant but please try not to worry.

If it makes you feel any better I didn't know I was pregnant with my 15 yr old dd, for few months.

I smoked, drank and completed a tactical firearms course including wrestling around on the floor, and she was absolutely fine.

Clearly i would not recommend this but it makes me chuckle. I then at 6 months pregnant had 3 wisdom teeth out under local anaesthetic.
