Hi ladies
I’m 34 weeks (twins)
I’m having constant Braxton hicks for over a week now. Been to triage and I’ve been told it is Braxton hicks, had the pre term labour swab etc

it is so constant. My belly is constantly rock hard and I’m so uncomfortable
anyone else had this?

I'm 36 weeks pregnant (not twins!) and I've been having pretty consistent Braxton hicks since about 15 weeks. A few weeks ago I was getting them every 10/15 mins! I definitely seem to be getting them more now. They're more uncomfortable but not painful. I was the same with my last two pregnancies. I've been assured every time that it's a variation of normal, and as long as they're not painful they're nothing to worry about. Of course if yours have come out of nowhere then may be worth getting checked out, but just letting you know of my experience x

I didn’t have twins, but I had this from about 25 weeks. The last few days I was being monitored in hospital, on the machine such measures babies movement and heart rate I think, and the contractions. The midwives kept assuming I’d gone in to labour as the contractions were that strong, but they didn’t feel any different to what I’d had for weeks before that!

Should it be rock hard all the time though? It should be going back to normal too. Just be careful, have they scanned you or done any other checks?

@Rainbowscakes Yes I was on the monitor for a while and had swabs done. It’s happening every few minutes so it’s very hard to catch my bump when it’s actually soft. Even happening during the night. I get up to wee every hour or so and it’s hard when I get up!! They said if it gets painful to come back
