ELC Friday afternoon

I’m booked in to have an ELCS Friday afternoon. I was wondering whether this means there’s a reasonable chance I’ll get pushed down the list and moved to Monday (if emergencies/complications with others)?

It might depend where you are on the list for the day. I was second and everything was fine. When they rang me a day or so before the section she was able to tell me on the phone where I was placed. It might be worth trying to ask so you have an idea.

When I had my ELCS I waited for hours and then was sent home as the emergencies took precedence over mine (understandably) and apparently they were just too busy with it all so I was scheduled to return the next day and I was sent home and told to return in the morning. I was quite relieved about it actually, I remember feeling happy to go home to have that one extra day to really mentally prepare myself for what was to come. It could go either way but as pp mentioned it would be good to ask where you are on the list but again it just depends on how busy they are where you are based, these factors play a role.
