Hi everyone am currently pregnant in my third trimester and decided not to find out gender but then changed my mind at 30weekw and decided to do a sneak peek test which came back as girl should I accept baby is a girl and start shopping girl clothes based on sneak peek ?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

A quick look at the reviews would suggest not to rely on the results... (I saw one review suggest they were just guessing - since it's 50/50 they might get it right, often enough for them to get the odd positive review...)

Definetly not. Just continue on as if you've never taken the test.

Thank you for the reply’s it’s giving me hope as I have 3 girls already x

Did you take it as the instructions suggest and scrub your hands properly? It was correct for me when taken at 6 weeks. A male result is more likely to be wrong as it can be contaminated by male DNA, human or pet.

Rebbecca2 · 12/01/2025 20:34

Yes I did take it as instructions suggest definitely didn’t get contaminated because it came back as girl Av not heard many people take it this late in pregnancy, i wasn’t really ganna take the result seriously because I’ve seen awful results on it but not sure anymore 😕

Hope for what?

If you have 3 girls already don't you have some of their clothes?

I did mine at 7 weeks and I’m still pregnant but a NIPT and two addition scans have also now said girl. I think later in pregnancy the better as you are more likely to have a sufficient amount of baby’s DNA in your blood by now. From what I’ve read too it’s more likely to be incorrect due to contamination if it’s a boy.

Hi @Rebbecca2 I did this test at home at 6 weeks and received a girl result. I was very sceptical as it was so early on, however I read that usually a boy result is more likely to be false due to male DNA accidently affecting the sample. I've had a scan at 16 weeks and 20 weeks which have both said girl, so looks to be correct 🤞
