I am broody, but, some days I don't want another child. I have 2 dd's and some days are really hard and some days are great. The first 6 mths with dd2 were hellish but now things are generally really good.

Did anybody else go on to have dc 3 and did anybody feel the same way ?

HI, I have 2 boys aged 8 and 6, when they were 4 and 2 it would have been an ideal time to have #3 but they were such hard work that we said no. Emigrated to Austria when they were 5 and 3 and sold all baby stuff. Last summer the broodiness hit , I am 38 years old, and 36 weeks pregnant with #3 (another boy) We deliberated for a long time about #3, and in the early few months of pregnancy when I felt so sick and tired , I did wonder what we had done, BUT both boys are so excited about the baby that I am sure it was the right decision.

As for feeling broody - I think I will always be broody, but this is it for us, 3 is enough.

I have 3 and the short version is as follows:

Decided on a 3rd, tried to get pg, changed mind about 3rd, got pg (!) took 6 months to get used to idea, had dd2, had a HELLISH 1st yr (all were under 4 1/2) where I regretted every second of no3 (sorry - but true) have since had a fab yr 2 and yr 3 - love, love, love having 3 and perhaps would have gone for 4th if younger/had more money!

Just read my answer and it sounds awful! Please understand that I still loved my no3 vastly but just that it was so hard dealing with them all (ds struggling as v young one in reception, dd1 who was massively jealous of dd2 and wee'd around the house for the first 6 months as a punishment for her mother!) that I didn't have time for anything but knackering banality!!

Itotally understand, as dd2 was a little horror and we wondered what we had done with her. But now it is really good. I do wonder though if we do have another whether I may just end up in the nutty house !!
