Private scan to find out sex - 16wks

I’m 16 + 3 and wondering if worth finding out the sex today via private scan? Or is it better waiting till 17 weeks next weekend?
this is baby 2 for us, we had the surprise first time around but wanna find out this time! Will it be accurate enough now?

I found out with both of my DC but booked private scans at 18 and 17 weeks to remove as much margin of error as possible. 💙🩷 I think you would still get an accurate scan at 16 weeks as sonographers are skilled and know what they are looking for. ☺️

Don’t ask me why I couldn’t wait another two weeks either time 😂

We found out we were having a little boy at 16 weeks :)

I think it can be hit and miss depending on whether baby is cooperating or not but we found out at 16 weeks with our first and it was accurate for us.
Our scan was very clear though and it was very obvious before the sonographer had even said anything.

We’ve just been and found out it’s boy number 2! Everything looked great, she said femur was a touch below average measuring around 16 days rather than 16+3. She said nothing to worry about tho so hopefully she’s right!

I wouldn't worry at all about about the measurements at this stage - I'm 29 weeks with DD2 now and at 18 weeks her arms were super long, 2 weeks later they were in proportion but thigh bones looked very long, by 28 weeks everything was average......
