Hi all, currently writing this as night 4 of being an inpatient in hospital! Originally came in with some fainting, nausea, headaches, bleeding and just a few red flag symptoms (baby is perfectly fine!). Had another issue where the dr swabbed my URETHRA instead of vagina which was a whole other event and led to more complications...

Anyways, I feel like such a wuss but I've been having SEVERE pain on the right side of my back like behind the ribs? Just below the shoulder blade. I feel like the drs and nurses don't actually understand how bad the pain is, I was literally in tears earlier because I couldn't even take a breath properly without being in excruciating pain. I can't even walk to the bathroom alone or stand up straight because of the pain. Bear in mind I have a pretty high pain tolerance as someone who's had severe endometriosis, PCOS and interstitial cystitis!!

Had anybody else experienced this? How did you relieve symptoms? They've been giving me tramadol but honestly it's not doing much :/

Thank you for your help!

I experienced a similar pain on my right side throughout my pregnancy and about 8 weeks post birth I was diagnosed with gallstones. May be worth you having a look online at the symptoms. Hope you start to feel better and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

They actually did a scan of my abdomen earlier and it was all clear so no gallstones 😭 It's so frustrating having no answer!

What kind of scan was it? Only my gallstones didn't show up on an ultrasound or a CT scan. Several weeks of being in and out of hospital in excruciating pain and they finally diagnosed it as gallstones by giving me an MRI scan.

It was an ultrasound... The dr came to see me this morning and said from a medical perspective there's not much she can do and might send me home today 🫠
