Confused?!?

I had pregnancy like symptoms leading up to my period date. My period arrived and i was surprised as my symptoms were quite strong. I bled for about 4 days but lighter than normal. Today, a week after AF arrived i did a test, i don't know why, i just felt the need to, and it came back like this. Now im wondering if this means i had a chemical and there is still hcg lingering or if i'm actually still pregnant. I doubt it's the latter but i can't help but hope!!

Hey OP, I would expect the line to be stronger at what would be around 5 weeks if the bleed was breakthrough bleeding rather than a full period but I've also not come across getting positives a week after a chemical - maybe someone else has more knowledge on that.

No it was in the evening. I'll get another test today and see what that one comes back like. Thank you x

Sounds like it could have been implantation bleeding rather than a period? It would be very unusual to test positive a week after a chemical pregnancy.

How much lighter was your period? I had implantation bleeding for 3 days which was a light in flow and light brown although I know some people get this as pink/red. The only other thing to consider but not panic about is an ectopic pregnancy, it's quite unlikely but especially if you have any one sided pain maybe get checked out? Of course another option is the test is faulty and to take some more to check.

Ahh then discount my comment about expecting it to be darker as that's why 😊
