Had my roots done before I knew I was pregnant

Had my roots done last week, a day before I was due on my period and just took a pregnancy test after af never showed. Could this have caused harm?

No

No. There's no way that dying your hair harms your unborn child.

No. I'm 29 weeks and getting mine done today.

When you read about dyeing hair in pregnancy, it's to do with your skin being extra sensitive and nothing to do with baby. Some women find they suddenly react to products like hair dye even when they've been using the same one for years - it's recommended to get a patch test. That's it.

No definitely not! 35 weeks pregnant here and get my roots done every 5 weeks :). Congratulations!

Totally safe to colour your hair in pregnancy. So no, no harm can be done.

Thanks! It's just that I read that if you are going to dye your hair, to avoid doing it during the first trimester to minimise the risks. So it's made me a bit worried.

I had my hair dyed (still do) every 4-6 weeks, using pretty strong peroxide too. all the way down to my roots (and a lot ok my scalp too), I did it all the way through pregnancy. My DD11, bounced out of the house to school absolutely fine this morning.

Honestly, you're overthinking it, it's fine. Just let your hairdresser know you're pregnant and they will do a patch test.

Yes my hairdresser knew and no issues. You can like previous person said get a patch test if you’re worried but honestly will be ok! :)

If you’re worried just get highlights as they don’t touch the scalp as much x
