Light pink bleeding

Hey!
I took a test this morning and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant, I was very happy! This afternoon I had some light pink, stringy blood when wiping, not loads, but enough to make me think something bad is gonna happen, I’m hoping it’s just implantation bleeding, as I’ve had a few cramps too, nothing painful, like period pains, but I have no idea when my period would have been (had the implant removed in Nov and not had a period). It’s too early to get checked out, so I just feel like I’m gonna be taking tests constantly to see if there are any changes! Any one else been through this? Am I worrying over nothing as it’s so early? I didn’t have this with my first! Xx

Hey OP, sorry this is happening, totally understand how anxious it is. Unfortunately the only thing which will tell is time - the bleeding could be a breakthrough bleed (implantation must have taken place for you to get a positive result). Bleeding in early pregnancy is common but not normal.

I have had a MC and I'd say it was clear when it had shifted from spotting to a MC - the bleeding was bright red rather than pink or brown which is how it started, there were clots and cramping. I didn't know I'd know but once it started I just knew.

I have also had friends who had a bleed they thought was a period but was just breakthrough bleeding.

It's such a rough time being in limbo but try to trust your body and look after yourself, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you for getting back to me. I’m really sorry you had to go through a MC.
I would like to think if it was that then I would know but everyone is so different you just can’t take any chances!
if you don’t mind me asking, what is a breakthrough bleed?! Sorry if that’s a silly question xx

It's bleeding which can happen at the time your period would have been due. The way it was described to me is that it's like your body hasn't fully turned the taps off, enough to stop the lining shedding but not enough to stop a bit of bleeding

Ahhh ok i see! Thank you! It’s annoying that I don’t know when my period would have been due as I had the implant removed so I cannot track it. I hate the waiting around. I’m just gonna have to test again next week to see if the weeks go up x

I had my usual wee before bed and when I wiped it was just discharge with a slight tinge of pink. I really hope it’s a breakthrough bleed!
Thank you for your advice and making me feel a little more calm xx

Update- woke up this morning and felt blood come out, went to the toilet and it was very red and heavy with stringy clots. So it’s safe to say that’s over🥺 x
