Felt movements at 17 weeks buy don't any more at 19 weeks

Hi all,

I'm a FTM so have zero experience in this field!

At about 17 weeks I has what I can only describe as a swimming sensation in my abdomen, so assumed this was baby moving.

Since then I've had some other 'quickening' sensations, but nothing similar to the rolling sensation I felt the first time.

I've noticed that I probably haven't felt anything at all in the last week, and I've spoken both to my community midwife and the maternity assessment unit, who have both said not to worry as baby is still small and it may be that
A) they've hidden in some dead space and I can't feel them
B) I don't recognise what I'm feeling as movement
C) my placenta is in the way (I don't have my 20 week scan for a few more days so dont know where my placenta is)

Has anyone else every experienced this?

I just want to know my little one is OK!

I would wait for your 20 week scan, the baby is too small for you to notice reduced movement. I didn’t feel anything until 23 weeks.

It's very early OP. I agree with pp about waiting until the 20 week scan.
With my first, I didn't feel proper movements until 22 weeks and it was very hit and miss for the first few weeks.

That's still really early on
