Did a test first thing this morning and it definitely had a line on it wasn't the strongest line but could see it without squinting etc.

I did another one which went wrong at lunch so took it again about an hour later and it was negative.

Could it just be that HCG isnt high enough yet. I'm only CD27 but in previous pregnancies i've been able to get a definitive result from CD24

Your HCG is stronger with first wee of the day because you haven't emptied your bladder or drank anything. If you drink then take a test it will be diluted, especially that early on. Take another one tomorrow morning with first week of the day :)

There is no point in repeated testing on the same day as the result can vary for a number of reasons.... especially if you're still really early and haven't missed a period yet.
If you must do multiple tests then try to leave 48 hours between them to allow the hcg to increase
