is this test positive?

i need help….
i did a test the other day and got a evaporation line this morning i did a test with my first urine of the day and it had the smallest faintest line but only half way. I thought it was negative and 2 hours later got my mum to check the test as maybe i’m seeing things. She sent me a picture of the test and there’s a full line but is this also an evaporation line? my periods are irregular so im unsure when to test.

You really are advised to disregard anything that comes up outside the time frame I’m afraid… A positive would be a full thick blue line that comes up in the time frame, if it’s half a line or comes up after a few hours then I’d say retest and only take notice of what comes up straight away x

I’d be surprised if you didn’t turn out to be pregnant even if that didn’t come up in the time frame

the faint line came up straight away, it was only the bottom half of the top to bottom line, which is why i’m confused. this line is thicker than my previous evaporation line.

You can get a false negative but not a false positive. Looks like your pregnant to me, congratulations.

Evaporation lines aren’t true positives though that’s the problem. It was be very unusual to have a true false positive yes. But “pregnant” looking lines on clear blue that come up outside the time frame, are very thin and often broken or patchy happen ALL the time. So much so that I and many others refuse to ever use them. Even the pregnancy unit at my local hospital has told me to never use those tests.

So in regards to the OP, I wouldn’t trust that test. It came up after the time frame. And although difficult to see in the photo it looks quite thin. It obviously doesn’t mean the OP isn’t pregnant, but I just wouldn’t get my hopes up from that. Just take a digital test. If the hormones are that strong to show a line like that it will show on a digital. The 6 days early clearblue digital are from 10miu HCG label levels so it will show on those. (Not the weeks indicator one as this needs higher HCG)

looks negative to mee, usually with that particular test if positive all the lines are about the same width. maybe try again in a couple days x

That second test looks negative to me. I wouldn’t trust the first one either. Get a digital if you’re late for your period and you’ll know for sure.

They look like evap lines to me as the line is thin and if positive should be as thick as the control line. Clear blue are terrible for evap lines.

I can’t work out if this is a faint positive. It appeared within seconds of me taking the test and stayed like that after too. I’m due on my period next week, unprotected sex happened 23 days ago.

Unlikely. The test is quite pink so looks flooded. Also if you conceived 23 days ago (or even a few days later) you should have a blazing positive by now.
