Period like pains after scan - 28 weeks

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar.....

I'm 28+4 and this morning had a growth scan. Baby was being quite stubborn and I was having to shuffle onto both sides so the sonographer could get a half decent view. She was also having to press quite hard to see what she needed to see (baby is in an awkward position).

Even though the scan was absolutely fine, i had mentioned that I hadn't felt baby moving as much as normal this morning so they put me on the monitor for 20 mins after the scan. Again everything fine.

Anyway, ever since the scan and monitoring, I've been in a bit of discomfort around the lower part of my bump and it now feels exactly like period pains. I can feel my baby moving but just a little concerned and seeking some reassurance.......

Just to add - I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow morning

When I had my 20 week scan they had to be quite rough to get baby to jiggle around. They pressed really hard (it actually hurt) and after that my belly ached a bit too. I think it’s because of how hard she hard to press so it most probably is something to do with that but still mention it to your midwife if you’re worried! X

I don't think I've had any scans where baby wasn't being a tinker, lots of heavy pressing from the sonographer snd lots of moving around to try and get him into position. I have found when they're a bit tougher/press harder it does leave me with slight cramps and discomfort. I'm 30 weeks on Monday and even yesterday I was on the monitor, she was pressing relatively hard and I was really sore last night. Definitely give the maternity unit a call if you're worried I say - you know your body more than any of us! They might be able to reassure you until your midwife app tomorrow :)
