Looking for some reassurance... 4 weeks 0

My first ever post. I have had a positive test, but am worried because last time, I had a CP. So I've been taking wayyyyy to many tests to make sure my hCG is going up as expected. I think it is, but would just like a bit of reassurance from you lovely people that this is what you would expect at 4w0?

Bit of background, 4 weeks today, first tested positive on New Years Day, 36 years old. No previous children.

Hey, I remember this anxiety all too well as I had an ivf pregnancy!

The line looks strong and blue tests aren't as sensitive, but I just wanted to earn you of something called the hook effect as like me you seem to be a keen tester! When the hcg gets too high the tests can't cope and they actually start to fade, mimicking a CP. It happened to me and I was gutted, then read of the hook effect, diluted half urine half water and line came back strong.

If you're really really anxious you could get hvg checked privately, i went to a clinic and got it done twice 5 days apart to check it was rising. Pregnancy tests aren't always a good indicator. Congratulations and fingers crossed foe you x

I wouldn't say line progression is all that reliable. Mine was so inconsistent, it would be darker one day and lighter again the next and varied between brands, I was super anxious for weeks because of it, and it turned out absolutely fine.
