Are you sure this is the right board for your post?

In answer to your question, no. Dreams are not a reliable way of determining what genitals your baby has formed.

MightySnail · 06/01/2025 08:51

Oh dear OP. I'm not sure anyone's ever been brave enough to post one of these baby 'gender' posts on the Feminism board before.

🍿

LaLatina · 06/01/2025 08:51

No. No it doesn’t, OP.

Is this a bad thing should I take it down sorry

I know that but apparently it's an old wife's tale that what ever you dream you have the opposite I'm just so excited as this is my first after 2 years of trying

OP

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Just a heads up that you are not likely to get the traffic that you would on a board dedicated to pregnancy and baby discussions. However, I am sure if you want a feminist perspective to pregnancy or your treatment for health care or work or within your relationships, this is definitely the place for you.

RocketPanda · 06/01/2025 09:37

Congratulations OP.
Just to clarify this board is for discussing feminism and the harms of gender ideology on women's sex based rights and how it leads to discrimination.

Whilst there is belief in the foretelling of events through dreams it is more likely coincidence than cause.

No. It's fine. Dreams are not a good guide to future event. All precognition is useless, since you cannot recognise the apparent warning. I have a dream that signals a particuar event (not saying what it is) and it is usually right. But I don't always have it and it isn't specific. I suspect it is triggered by unconscious observations and concerns.

Congratulations OP 🎊

I saw three magpies once when I was pregnant with my daughter. Then, a few days later, seventeen of the little feathery bastards! 😃

Well, it's a 50/50 chance it'll be right or wrong so 🤷‍♀️

Honestly though, just take all these old wives tales and theories with a pinch of salt, it's just a bit of fun.

In my first pregnancy I dreamed i was having a girl all the way through, absolutely certain, no boys names only girls ones etc.....sure enough, I had a girl ✅️

Second/current pregnancy I dreamed I was having a boy. Absolutely certain of it, only boys names picked out etc.......wrong, she's definitely another girl ❌️

So the 50/50 was right for me 🤣
