please Be kind .. I did a pregnancy test earlier and it was hard to read. So I took the middle strip out and it definitely has another line . I’m just wondering if anyone has had the same and it’s been positive or if it’s just an indent / dye run situation

The only way to be sure is probably to wait till tomorrow morning and do your first morning wee x

If you have to pull a test apart it’s a negative.

The test looks like the dye is all over the place, I wouldn’t class this as a reliable result and would test again with your first wee in the morning - make sure not to soak the test for too long or go over the max line. Generally speaking though, yes I have had a pregnancy where I’ve removed the strip for better viewing but I was testing quite early then

I agree with this. Also, the first wee thing is a myth.

Agree, any test you have to pull apart or leave longer than the time frame etc is a BFN.

Wait a few days and retest

@GreatPlumPlayer first urine is not a myth, I've tested it with my own tests. Your urine gets more stronger the longer you keep it, and after 8 hours of sleep, is strong and undiluted.

If there’s enough HCG in your system then you shouldn’t have to brew a strong wee…

I’d say it depends on how far along you are. If testing early FMU is always recommended. If testing after missed period then FMU may not be required but you could still get a stronger result if you do use FMU

Yes this was me a couple of years ago.
If it's one of the cheap boots/asda/tesco ones mine didn't come up with the 2nd line within the timeframe, it came up a while after!
I did a clear blue after and it was positive.

Good luck!
