Hi OP, it'll be better if you give some info like are you pregnant or TTC? If pregnant what gestation? If TTC what stage of your cycle etc?

NoSpecialCharacter · 05/01/2025 16:26

Looks like spotting.

If you haven’t had a positive test at all since New Year’s Eve it’s possible you had a chemical pregnancy and this is the spotting before the full bleeding starts.
Plenty of people get spotting in early pregnancy, but if you’re getting definitely negative tests for the last 5 days I’d be prepared for the worst unfortunately.

Thank you I'm going to speak to my doctor tomorrow

Have you actually missed a period OP?

There is nothing the doctor will be able to do to be honest, they can only test the same as you can, only time is going to tell you what is going on.

If you have been getting repeated negative tests for several days then it seems the previous test was either a false positive or you have had a chemical pregnancy. If that's the case then the spotting is likely to turn into a 'period' very soon.

I was meant to be due on yesterday but one app is saying the 9th and I was just going to see if the doctors can see what's going on with my hcg as I've also been testing my ovulation and it's high on one app and low on the other

OP your doctor can’t really help you. Take a pregnancy test to see if you are or not. Could be spotting and nothing to worry about.

It may be different where you are but in my area the GP wouldn't see me that early on. They don't routinely test for pregnancy or check hcg levels.

I think you will just have to wait to see if AF arrives by the end of the week and that will tell you what you need to know.

And if it doesn't come contact gp?

If you are still testing negative but no period in 2 weeks time then I would think about contacting the GP then.
