Hiya I took an Asda test a couple days ago and got a faint line then I took one tonight and got a darker one. I’ve heard some people getting dye runs etc but the colour went through normal and started faint. Can’t go to get another test until the 20th 😫. But does this seem okay or 50/50 can’t fully trust x

How long did you wait until looking at the results? With pink dye tests if you wait 5 minutes or more often it will have that evap line but if it appeared quickly could be positive😊

Looks positive! How comes you can't get another test until 20th?

i really hope it is!! But As that’s when I’m next paid and I don’t want to waste the money I have left for bills etc on tests when I can just wait. Even if the wait is going to stress me out! If it gets too bad I’ll go buy a cheap test again but trying to save money after Christmas!

you can buy cheap strips on amazon, but if you don't want to at least buy some cheap folic acid supplement in the meantime

Those look positive to me, if the lines appeared in the timeframe I'd say you're pregnant

BeLemonQuoter · 05/01/2025 14:04

I think you can take them. The recommendation is to take 400microgramm of folic acid daily if you are trying to have a baby or if you are pregnant. It is not gonna hurt, even if you were not pregnant.

I think your tests show a very early pregnancy btw. I have been using tests since we were trying for a baby, for about 5 years and the only time I have seen something was when I finally got pregnant.

The fact that the second one showed up darker, also indicates pregnancy.

Butterflygirl23 · 05/01/2025 14:08

They look positive to me
B&m do a box of 2 tests for £1:50 I've never had a problem with or pound shop you can get a box of 3 strips for 1£ which have worked for me

Rubymachine · 05/01/2025 14:23

I recently used the Asda tests and had the same concern as you regarding reliability - we went and purchased clear blue and it had the exact same result positive! - I would say this is definitely a positive test 😊

Forgot to add since yesterday I’ve had two cases of light pink spotting one yesterday and one today should this be of any concern? Never had that happen before x

It is positive. I haven't had any spotting in my pregnancy but remember being told In the beginning any thing unusual for you should be checked out :)

If i have it again tomorrow I’ll give my gp a phone see what they say. I’m just worried as past mc. Never had it before my past mc started off with brown spotting

There’s definitely still a line there,‘I’m not sure it’s darker though! Have you missed a period or any other signs? I know they can be expensive but may be worth investing in a clear blue test, I find them easier to read! I picked one up for about £7 in Asda 😊

Yeah only really symptom I’ve had is feeling abit sick and hormonal crying😂I don’t get my period every month due to pcos so I didn’t have one last month. I’ll have a look in my Asda today when I go pick up a couple things. I’m abit concerned as I’ve had two cases of pink spotting over 48 hours but it hasn’t got heavier and no cramping

You do not get fake positives let alone 2 fake positives x

ahh makes sense! That could just be implantation bleeding - really would invest in a clear blue to put your mind at ease either way. Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻
