When does spotting occur?

I’m not too sure what you mean by this. Spotting in pregnancy ? Most women don’t have any, some do

I've had 2 pregnancies, one ended in miscarriage & the second I had my daughter. I had spotting during both & a fairly invasive investigation during my second pregnancy only to be told that it wasn't a polyp as suspected, I just have a bleedy cervix. So in short, it can happen any time & for multiple reasons. It doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong, but it could. So get it checked out.
