Under bump pain 31+5

Did anyone else experience this? Had it for 2 days now non stop just like a dull ache under bump on the left side - uncomfortable but not really painful enough to need a paracetamol

Very strange. For the past week if I get out of bed too fast I get an intense stabbing/pully pain in the same area so maybe round ligament? But when I've had round ligament pain before it's not been a dull ache for days on end

If in any doubt please call your midwifery team and be checked over. Could well be normal ligament pain but it's never a waste of time to have pain checked properly in pregnancy. Could be baby sitting in an awkward position, but get checked regardless.

I know it's definitely not contractions at least as I had a CTG yesterday which didn't pick any up. Don't want to seem real dramatic as they usually ask if I've had paracetamol and I say no it's not that bad then they say it's fine then that'll be normal!

You're not being dramatic so please don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Could be Brixton Hicks but if at all unsure just call them and insist on being seen. This is your child, your pregnancy, and you are allowed to be as insistent as you wish. Best of luck.

Sounds like round ligament pain to me. I had the same and went to get checked and the midwife said it was that xx

It does sound like round ligament pain and your body stretching to accommodate your growing baby but, if in any doubt, call up your midwife or pregnancy assessment unit for some advice.

I'm 28 weeks today and have had this a lot recently. I'm just generally very uncomfortable already with aches around the bump and in my lower back plus sciatica now down my left leg. I also get the very sharp intense pain if I move too quickly. It's awful.

Well I did call up and explain it and apparently sounds like round ligament to the midwife too. The pains got more intense so took a paracetamol about 2hrs ago which hasn't done anything yet! She just said to take more paracetamol later and use a hot water bottle

Are you sure it's not a UTI? I've never been pregnant but sounds like the kind of bladder pain I have had with mild cystitis, and I believe they are fairly common in pregnancy?
And I've never had localised burning or particular urgency with them, just discomfort in the stomach

I don't think so but tbh I've never had one so wouldn't have a clue of if it feels like one. I had my urine dipped yesterday which was clear and a week prior I had a swab done for infection due to bleeding and that was negative!
