CB Digital CRACKED OPEN! Don't judge..

Hi everyone!
I've gone a bit mad because I was curious of the inside of a CB digi! I'm around 11/12dpo and done a CB digi about an hour ago and I already knew this would happen as they're not sensitive so as expected it came up not pregnant.
So I had a moment of madness and thought hm what do these look like on the inside.
I'm not sure how these work, but there are 2 lines on the top strip which id assume is the test line and one on the bottom which I assume would be the weeks indicator.
Why are my top 2 lines so dark?!
I just wondered if anyone had ever lost it like me or could shed any light on how these tests work 🤣

All digital tests have lines like that. I wouldn’t read anything in to it. Just wait a few days and either test again or see if you get your period.

It’s just what they look like on the inside, it doesn’t mean anything unfortunately

Thank you! I was just curious what it would actually look like if you were pregnant and I was wondering how different they work to non digital tests. My curiosity got the better of me 🤣 it looks as though they're v similar it's maybe the darkness of the lines that make the difference!

No I know I'm not pregnant. I was actually just curious tbh. I ended up coming across a video on tiktok randomly where people were asking how these work and I couldn't find any answers and I was wondering myself so thought I'd post to see if anyone knew!

I cracked mine open when the writing disappeared just because I was interested in how they work. The one with the paler second line is 2-3 and the 3 dark was 3+.

I think the little chip reads the darkness of the lines.

Ah ok interesting! It looks as though it might go by the single line at the top and how dark it is. I was very curious 🤣 because mine is very faint compared to yours (obviously I'm not Pg!)

I took my 1-2 apart but didn’t take a photo and the double line was even paler than the above so I think it does the double line on whether you’re pg at all (1-2) , there has too be enough colour differential for the chip to read it then it gets darker for 2-3 and adds in the single line…and then the contrast when the single line is as dark as the control line puts you at 3+.

But that was just me guessing because I was interested in how they work and they’re expensive so I thought I may as well get my moneys worth and take them apart!!

Saying all that and looking at yours though I’m now not sure!🤔 😂

Honestly I don't even know now 🤣 I think this is probably why they tell you not to open them haha! But I was too nosy and I wanted to see what they look like. I guess the only way I'd ever truly find out is if I emailed them but I'm not that arsed 😂 breaking my test open was savage enough haha!
