I drank nosecco last night less than 0.5% and I’ve woke up feeling I’ve got a hangover.
i only had two glasses and worried has this affected the baby. I know I’m probably being very silly but
im very anxious about this pregnancy and worrying about every little
thing

There is probably more alcohol in a ripe mango. You and baby are fine.

DanceMumTaxi · 01/01/2025 08:21

It’s probably just tiredness. Sure you’ll be fine. I can wake up like this when I haven’t drunk anything at all.

Barryplopper · 01/01/2025 08:22

It's fine, relax x

NMc16 · 01/01/2025 08:23

I suppose it wasn’t proper alcohol and thinking it may have been sugar content more than anything.

I always find nosecco leaves me dehydrated so it's most likely that. Try not to worry (easier said than done in pregnancy) it's the drink of choice for alot of women i know when pregnant.

StamppotAndGravy · 01/01/2025 08:47

It's fine. It'll be staying up late and probably eating salty party food alongside.

Drinking Heineken 0 made me realise that it's actually the taste of Heineken not the alcohol that leaves me feeling like a hamster slept in my mouth! That won't be returning after pregnancy

smokeandflame · 01/01/2025 09:18

It's absolutely fine. However you are feeling, it's not because of the 0.5% alcohol. It's either just tiredness, general pregnancy symptoms, maybe you've got a bit of a cold or something - but 0.5% alcohol is not going to give you a hangover. As a PP said, there's more alcohol in ripe fruit.

I had a night toasting in the new year with nosecco too!
Happy New Year!

I get a "hangover" from 0% cider or even just tonic, it's the sulphites. I get the same from a Chinese takeaway due to the msg.

It's dehydration. I'm nursing a sore head now despite only having 3 single gins over 4 hours so would not even have exceeded drink drive limit (was on foot so irrelevant)

ridl14 · 01/01/2025 09:35

Bread apparently has an alcohol content of 1.9%! How many weeks are you? You're probably just knackered and dehydrated

Babybaby2025 · 01/01/2025 10:11

It won't be a hangover, I drank alcohol free beer and Prosecco last night and came home feeling dehydrated and woke up with a horrible headache

NMc16 · 01/01/2025 10:13

I’m 23 weeks
