Gender scans

Has anyone had any concerns with their gender scan? Went yesterday and we got told boy but I'm terrible at knowing what I'm looking at with scans and the photo I've got I don't feel is clear. What's everyone's thoughts? Does this photo look like a boy or is it just the umbilical cord?

Yeah that’s a boy.

They wouldn’t tell you if they weren’t sure, if it’s a reputable place at least. They’d call you back for a recall instead. They want to be right; or their reputation is shredded.

@YouveGotAFastCar I know you're right! It just worries me as everyone I've shown that photo to has said they aren't sure!

You're just ficussing on that one still image. The sonograpber would gave been examining the moving image for quite some time and will have been certain. He would have seen the baby from many different angles.

You can definitely trust the sonographer who was looking at the screen more than any other person just looking at a photo!
