I was 20 weeks yesterday and just wondering if anyone else is still waiting for theirs with it being the new year period.

I had mine at 20+4 weeks. I hadn’t heard anything by 19 weeks, so I called them and booked it in. Clinics are still running in my area today, as I had a repeat scan today, so hopefully there isn’t much of a delay for you.

Have you got a date yet?

Rainbowsunshine81 · 31/12/2024 17:17

@404ErrorCode I might ring on Thursday as its back to normal then. Haven't been given a date yet, I'm hoping it will be this week as I'm sure they said that they are starting to open up appointments at the weekend.

Mine was at 21+5

SapphireOpal · 31/12/2024 23:58

I'd be worried you have been forgotten if you don't have a date - I know this will vary by area but mine was booked in shortly after my 12 week scan.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/01/2025 01:12

@sel2223 If I haven't got a date by Thursday I'm going to ring up and ask when it's going to be.

@SapphireOpal I might try and contact the scanning department tomorrow if they are there, if not I'm going to ring on Thursday and ask if I have a date yet.

I was 20 weeks between Christmas and new year and my scan was booked in for that period. I called and asked if they could move it (plenty of family to see!) but they said the latest they can offer it is 20+6 and there weren't any other available scan days due to bank hols and weekends. I'd deffo call tomorrow!

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/01/2025 01:22

@heroinechic I'm definitely going to try and ring them tomorrow, I'll be 20+6 on Sunday and I know ideally it's better to have this scan around this time. I'm sure when I rang before christmas they said something that they might start opening appointments at the weekends.

I’ve had mine at 20+4 and it was booked right after 12 week scan, straight on the way out by receptionist

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/01/2025 10:49

@Chypre When I had my booking in appointment the midwife arranged the scans. I'm definitely going to try and ring today to see if I have a date yet.

I'm having mine at 22+ a few days. I've been away for Xmas/new year

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/01/2025 12:40

@KittenOnTheTable I've tried ringing the scanning department this morning but no answer, I'm going to try and ring tomorrow.

I had my 12 and 20 week scans due in school holidays and both were delayed by 2 weeks due to absences in the department. The 12 week one was awful because I wasn't able to have screening.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 01/01/2025 13:38

@TheEllisGreyMethod I'm thinking that the scanning department where I am isn't open today. I did have my 12 week scan at 13+5 so I'm thinking the same for my 20 week one, I hope it's going to be soon. I did have the screening blood test done the same time as the 12 week scan. Did they say why you couldn't have the screening?
