The nub! Is this a hand or a nub?

Hello

Went for my 12 week scan (12 weeks and 1 day) walked out of scan thinking we were potentially looking at a little girl based on nub theory, then later realised I think I've been staring at a hand 😂.

What are your thoughts?

I have no gender preference I just find it fun speculating. X

Any guesses ? X

I don’t think that’s a very girly nub even if it is a nub - I’d have guessed boy, but I’m also not convinced that’s a clear nub!

Thank you. It's very prominent what ever it is which makes me think it's a hand or foot and not a nub at all 😂. I thought boy nubs stick out and up, where as girls just stick out, which is what made me think girl.

I think it’s far too long to be an arm! My little girl (I’m 37 weeks) nub was a very definite straight lines, not a bulge like that. I’d say almost definitely a boy from that picture alone just because of how different it is to my girls but it is just a snippet in time and not accurate. You’ll have to let us know when you find out later down the line 🙂

Girls stick out, but that’s got definite height - so it looks like a rising nub, which will become a boy.

Baby would have to be in an odd position for their arm to be long enough for that to be their hand, I think? But it’s not impossible that it is.

Baby is a GIRL 💕😍

So not sure what I/we were looking at in the scan 😂
