I am 34 weeks pregnant but my bloods show l have a high count of white blood cells. I've had a really bad flu like virus over the last few days. I was sent to triage to have my baby monitored. Haven't been told why. I'm so worried.

WCC normally increases a bit in pregnancy - the people interpreting the tests will have used the normal range for your gestation.

I think higher white cell count would correlate with illness / virus whether pregnant or not.

High white cell count is a marker for infection so lines up with you being unwell last few days x
